Monday Wishlist: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Monday Wishlist, which is absurd since there are plenty of shiny literary pretties I’m hoping to add to my collection this year! Here’s one that’s topping the list:

Holy hell, this is one of the most beautiful covers I’ve seen in a long time. It’s consistent with the cover style of the rest of The Grisha Series, but also offers its own unique visual. Such a great artistic manifestation of the mysterious, dark title.

Summary from Goodreads:

Game of Thrones meets Ocean’s Eleven in this brand-book in the world of the Grisha by New York Times-bestselling author Leigh Bardugo.

Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone…

A convict with a thirst for revenge.

A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager.

A runaway with a privileged past.

A spy known as the Wraith.

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.

Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.

Game of Thrones meets Ocean’s Eleven??

That is pretty much the pitch of a lifetime and I’m giga sold. Ocean’s Eleven in a high Russia-inspired Fantasy world sounds about as bad ass as Ocean’s Eleven in Space, which apparently is what we’re getting soon (from Disney no less).

(also omg at this post right after the one about the Cover that Judges You XD I can’t help it, Amsterdam, I love pretty artwork!)
