Your Story: Teen Authors and Illustrators Festival!

Last Friday, Ottawa held their annual Teen Authors and Illustrators Festival! I was one of the mentors along with some amazing and familiar artists!

It was a full day thing. I lead two workshops, talking about the industry and building upon creative writing!

I was once again not surprised but somehow still AMAZED and definitely inspired by the intelligence, critical acuity and imagination of youth. Kids from Grade 8 to 12 hungry to know more about the industry, how to publish, how to write not only shared their creativity with the rest of the workshop but taught me a thing or two about writing and stretching your imagination beyond its limits!

Another great event. So glad I was able to participate and so excited to see where these students’ inquiring minds take them!
